Review upcoming events

Events are grouped by month with date, time, name, and location when available. The location name links to its detail page, with a map link beside it. Open the Home Calendar tile for a quick summary of your next upcoming event.

Download the calendar as a PDF

  1. Open Calendar.
  2. Choose Download as PDF. The PDF opens in a new tab; use the viewer's download control if you want to save it.

The PDF includes the current season schedule, the date it was generated, event names (or event-type fallbacks), cycles, and locations (with street address) when available. It leaves out absence controls and subscription controls. Longer seasons continue onto additional pages so the schedule stays readable.

Report late or absent from Calendar

For an upcoming event you're scheduled to attend, use Calendar to report that you'll be late or absent. You can update or remove your own report.

You can report only for upcoming events on or after today where you appear on the roster. The status icon does not appear for past events, events outside your roster, or events that no longer accept attendance reports. Staff-recorded Present or Excused marks stay read-only.

Something elseAnother situation — add a required note
  1. Find the upcoming rehearsal or concert on Calendar.
  2. Select the next to the event.
  3. Choose I'll be late, I'll be absent, or Something else.
  4. Add a note when the choice requires one, or choose Clear report to remove your own mark.

For Something else, enter a note — a note is required. Reports also appear on Absences.

Common questions

How do I add the orchestra calendar to my iPhone or Google Calendar?

Open Calendar, choose Subscribe in your calendar app, then choose Copy URL in the popover and add the subscription URL in Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, or Outlook. See Subscribe to the orchestra calendar externally.

Can I report an absence from Calendar?

Yes. When you are signed in and rostered for an upcoming event, select the next to the event on that Calendar row and choose I'll be late, I'll be absent, or Something else. See Report late or absent from Calendar.

Why do I only see some concerts on Calendar?

Active members see the whole current season. Substitute and Inactive members see cycles where they appear on the roster. Conductors see assigned cycles. If you expect to see more, email the Members Help Line (opal@bso.nyc).
